Brainteaser Orchestra – PR, social media, conceptual branding assistance
About this project
For Brainteaser Orchestra’s transformation (from their former moniker AM.OK), That Jazz Girl was in charge of marketing coordination. The group presented the new name, new music, and (in part) new lineup at Bimhuis in late October 2024, closing off the club’s 50th anniversary month with not only a stellar show but a buzzing afterparty as well, conceptually co-designed by TJG.
Programmers, journalists, and other industry tastemakers were invited with pre-designed birth announcement cards in rainbow themes (to match the inclusivity the band stands for) and received with Dutch traditional ‘muisjes’ in matching rainbow colors. The afterparty brimmed with excitement through a DJ, dance floor, flag lines in colors matching the group’s new branding, and, perhaps equally traditional, celebratory complimentary cava for all. Videographer Daan van Schijndel interviewed attendees on camera alongside the creation of a truly snappy aftermovie, set to be one of the band’s most popular reels to date.
Several bloggers and newspaper journalists attended Brainteaser Orchestra’s re:Birth. Hundreds of fans watched the livestream, promoted by a branded QR-code via the band’s socials.
The new branding was created by Floor Rehbach Design, with photography by Mike Pasarella, who was carefully selected by us and approved by bandleader Tyn Wybenga.
