Online marketing, PR & social media: Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw
About this project
When an international institution reaches out to ask if you have time, the answer is always yes – although you might want to catch your breath first. Working with Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw to promote their projects has been an absolute joy.
I started in March and April 2021, when we recorded and released a vlog series much like the one I did in Poland to promote Virtual Artist in Residence Jim McNeely and the Orchestra’s concert at Bimhuis, which aired on International Jazz Day (that’s April 30). We sold out all but one room in 2021, played two featured concerts at Sicilia Jazz Festival as part of a World Jazz Network exchange project in 2022, and got artistic director Juan Martinez invited to the Grammy Academy in the same year. While we wouldn’t be able to submit the September 2022 album Threnody for consideration, I’m sure there will be others.. and I look forward to it.
In March of 2022, I started focusing on international PR and collaborative projects for JOC, rather than social media and marketing.
