Tomorrowland Festival: copywriting extraordinaire
Tomorrowland Festival: copywriting extraordinaire
About this project
A strange exception to my usual jazz/world focus, but let’s face it; when you get a chance to work with the biggest festival on the planet, you don’t say no.
In 2018 I joined the Tomorrowland team as a reporter and copywriter. I focused on web content, interviewing artists and festivalgoers to give those who didn’t secure a ticket an impression of the festival – and, of course, of FOMO.
I also had the honor of traveling to Ibiza to report on the one and only Tomorrowland Party Flight for Tomorrowland Today, the festival’s newspaper.
In 2019 I also reported for the first-ever edition of Tomorrowland Winter in Alpe d’Huez in France. Most of my work was website-based, which gets filed after every edition, but there’s some copy in their newspapers as well. My time with that crew was priceless; from some of the longest writing marathons I’ve ever done to a steady 20k steps a day and from jokes with Afrojack (apparently I look, sound and act like his aunt) to interview questions about lucky socks, it was all 1000% worth it, and I’d do it again yesterday.
